An illegitimate product of patriarch Cornelius and one of his slaves, Sarah is given as part of a wedding gift to Cornelius's daughter. His legitimate and illegitimate daughters rejected, Cornelius's deeds may soon catch up to him and destroy his family. The Wedding Gift is based on a true story and a very highly recommended read.
